James Hunt is a veteran of the New Zealand Construction Industry, with a broad range of experience across a number of project disciplines. He cut his teeth in the UK working as a consultant Risk Analyst and Manager on large infrastructure projects and is now working for a number of clients across the Auckland region providing specialist programme, commercial and project management support. His key competence areas are leadership, coaching, relationship building, Alliance contracting, project reporting and performance, strategy, process improvement, programme management, project risk management and analysis, and other related disciplines. He is particularly interested in organizational culture, people and relationships.
He has a wide base of leadership, management, business analysis, client management (public and private), contract compilation and implementation (Alliance’s, NEC3) experience. These are supported by practical experience of structured project management methodologies, feasibility, business case and engineering project planning.
He holds a Master of Arts degree in History (University of Canterbury, New Zealand, completed 2005), focused on economics, statistics and sustainability studies of New Zealand and United States Foreign and Internal political policy. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts with majors in History (Honours) and Philosophy (University of Canterbury, 2003). His studies encompassed interpretations of policy models, investment data and business ethics. He is a trained Human Synergistics, Learning Systems Inventory practitioner.
