Change management
Change is the only constant. We understand that change can come in many forms:
Design change
Changes to design specification, design clashes, or request for information not answered in a timely fashion.
Stakeholder influenced change
Client requested scope changes, delays in procurement, consents and local governing body driven change.
Construction team driven change
Design changes to enable better buildability
Hand of God
Weather, earthquakes, etc.
We also strongly believe that with every change event comes time impact, and it’s critical to understand how change impacts the timeline on a project. Hence, record keeping on a project is of the utmost importance.
So how do we go about it?
- As part of the programme control cycle, change is captured in the programme (as additional line items).
- Impact of the change analysed and reported.
- Extension of time requests drafted in accordance with the contract.
